BPC-157 is the most studied recovery peptide in animal models, with a research profile centered on tissue repair, gut integrity, and faster recovery signaling. The evidence base is still predominantly preclinical: rat and rodent studies consistently point to angiogenesis, growth factor upregulation including VEGF and EGF, and nitric oxide modulation as the core mechanisms behind its popularity. That matters because these pathways sit upstream of the outcomes serious users care about most — blood flow to damaged tissue, collagen remodeling, and a more favorable healing environment. There are no large human randomized controlled trials published yet, so the honest case for BPC-157 is not established clinical efficacy but unusually strong preclinical consistency plus a large volume of user-reported outcomes. Interest is accelerating because few research peptides have built this much momentum in both musculoskeletal and gut-repair circles before human data has fully caught up.
